AS A SOPHOMORE (2025): Did not play this season (medical redshirt)

AS A FRESHMAN (2024): Appeared in 32 games as a freshman, recording 19 hits in 59 at-bats for a .322 batting average. Had 9 runs and drove in 20 RBIs with 6 doubles and 3 home runs (.576 SLG) while drawing 9 walks (.429 OBP). On the mound, she made 24 appearances with 2 starts and a 3-1 record. Recorded 47.2 innings pitched with 31 Ks and a 7.49 ERA.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Andrews High School and Williamsburg Academy... Graduated with a 5.2 GPA... was awarded offensive player of the year for four consecutive years in a row... awarded All-State and All-Conference four consecutive years in a row and also attended the North-South games in her years at WA... she held the highest batting average for her team which led them to great victories throughout her seasons in high school...She was a part of the national honors society, FCA, debate team, and many more honorable clubs throughout her years...She played for the Team North Carolina softball organization throughout her travel ball career...

PERSONAL: The daughter of Heath and Caroline McCants... has three siblings, Carli, Jameson, and Braydon... Carli pitched and played softball at the College of Charleston, receiving CAA player of the week for two consecutive weeks, ranked third overall in the CAA, and was named second team All-CAA... Jameson and Braydon are both still in school with lots of ambition for all things hunting, fishing, and a little bit of baseball and basketball... Her mother, Caroline, is a travel nurse for home health... her father, Heath, is the lead supervisor over Nucor Steel-Berkely... Abbie is currently working towards her goal of being a lawyer... She is double majoring in Criminology and Humanities with a minor in Political Science and a specialization in Pre-Law... She is involved in many things on campus, such as being a Commissioner, Ambassador, Morgan's Message Advocate, SGA, CAB board member, and many more things to come!
