Coker Softball Splits Doubleheader at Tusculum
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Coker University softball team split its South Atlantic Conference doubleheader at Tusculum on Saturday (Mar. 20). The Cobras lost in game one 3-0, before coming back to take the victory in Game two 10-1.

Game 1
Coker fell to Tusculum 3-0 in in game one. Chloe Pelham and Kayla Oswell notched one hit apiece.
Game 2
Coker came out strong to start game two, notching the first run on an RBI single from Kayla Oswell to advance Makayla Cuthbertson to third and score Kelsi Scott. Cuthbertson would later score on a single through the ride side by Bailey Douglas. The Cobras extended their lead in the next two innings. Cuthbertson launched an RBI triple to score Jena Dewalt before tallying her second run of the game on a RBI double from Pelham. Oswell registered the second triple of the game for Coker to score Pelham, running around the bases before scoring on a single from Mikayla Goodwin. In the fifth inning, Ava Jay landed on first base on a throwing error before dashing to third and scoring on Madison King's RBI single. Cuthbertson would reach on an error to score Dewalt, resulting in a Game two victory for the Cobras.
Cuthberton and Dewalt finished with two runs scored each while Oswell led with two RBI. Five different Cobras registered two hits each. Jordyn Goodman garnered her second straight win (3-1), finishing the contest with two strikeouts.
The Cobras will travel to Wingate on Wednesday (Mar. 24) for a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1:00 p.m., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
