HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker University softball team's nine game winning streak came to an end on Sunday (Feb. 23) with a 3-2 loss to the Mount Olive University Trojans in the final day of the Coker Classic.

Jordyn Goodman gave the Cobras a good start in the circle, keeping the game scoreless until the fourth inning. With the Trojans leading 3-0 going into the top of the sixth, the Cobra offense started a late rally. Lilli Otten and Cierra Watts each got RBI base hits as the Cobras trimmed the deficit to 3-2. Isabelle Mullen did a great job out of the bullpen, pitching 2.1 scoreless innings while striking out five. The Cobras were able to get two runners on base in the top of the seventh, but were unable to drive them home as the Trojans held on for a 3-2 win.
