Meckley Named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for March

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College softball player Ashley Meckley has been named the SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for the month March.

The freshman shortstop from Hanahan, South Carolina has been outstanding during the month of March as she recorded a .438 batting average over the month. She also notched nine RBI, two doubles, two triples, and a home run. Meckley crushed a walk-off two-run home run to beat #21 Wingate in game one of a doubleheader sweep of the Bulldogs. At the end of the month of March she led the South Atlantic Conference in batting average in conference play with a .778 average.

Meckley is the daughter of Robert and Virginia Meckley and the sister of Spencer, Zachery, and Bradley.
