Coker College softball pitcher Christine Carver has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week following a pair of phenomenal performances, as announced by the conference office.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College softball pitcher Christine Carver has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week following a pair of phenomenal performances, as announced by the conference office. This marks Carver's first player of the week honor of the season.
Carver, a junior out of Waxhaw, North Carolina, picked up a pair of wins over South Atlantic Conference opponents as she produced two of her most dominant starts of the season. Carver kicked off the week with a win over #21 Wingate as she got the nod, going five innings and only allowing two hits. She did not allow a single run in the outing and also struck out a season-high seven batters. She followed that up with another gem against Carson-Newman as she tossed a complete game two-hitter with five strikeouts in the 1-0 win over the Eagles.
She is the daughter of Lisa and Mike Carver, and has one sibling Nick.
