King Holds on to Defeat Coker, 5-4

HARTSVILLE- King scored all five of their runs in the bottom of the third inning., as they narrowly defeated Coker 5-4.

Christina Melcher went 2-for-3, with a grand slam.  Cora Milliken picked up the remaining RBI for the Tornado.  Hannah Light went the distance and picked up the win.  She allowed four runs on nine hits, while striking out seven. 

Stacy Burr led the Cobras offense, as she went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.  Sarah Rountree and Katelyn Szupello also picked up two hits apiece.  Becky Dillon was charged with the loss as she allowed five runs on seven hits.  Dillon went six innings and struck out three.

Coker falls to 1-1, and will play Limestone at 9 a.m.  King is 2-0, and will play North Greenville at 11 a.m.
