High Point, N.C.- Coker College's Stacy Burr has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week during week number two of the 2012 season.

Coker's sophomore backstop Stacy Burr had a monster week at the plate for the Cobras. Burr hit .500 for the week with three home runs, 12 RBI, two doubles and four runs scored. Included in Burr's home runs was a grand slam against Mars Hill giving the Cobras a 9-0 win and head coach David Hanna's 700th career victory. For the week the Cobras went 3-3 splitting each series with Mars Hill, Wingate, and Newberry.  Currently Coker also stands at 3-3 overall on the season.
