HIGH POINT, N.C.-  Coker College’s Sydney Greenwalt has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week during week number nine in the 2011 season.

The senior left-hander had a dominating week on the mound for the Cobras with two wins and a save, helping the Cobras go 4-0 on the week and move up to third in the Conference Carolinas standings. Greenwalt allowed just one earned run in 15 innings of work giving her a 0.60 ERA for the week. She also scattered eight hits over the 15 innings with just three walks and eight strikeouts. Her save was her first of the season and just the fifth of her career. Coker currently stands at 19-17 overall and 7-5 in the conference.
