Simpsonville, S.C. - Barton had their hands full this afternoon with Coker, the regular season Conference Carolinas champions. Coker scored three quick runs in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead then cruised the rest of the game taking the 4-0 victory.

Coker's Shelly Catlett pitched the entire game earning an impressive 10 strike outs.  Barton's Claire Severt also played all 7 innings and suffered 2 hits and 3 earned runs.

Kimberly Atkinson batted very well for the Cobras today.  She went 2-3 including a 3-run home-run, 3 RBIs and a run scored.  Coker's Haleigh Rogers went 1-2 and scored a run of her own while Jessica Blackwell went 1-3 and Eunice Nettles earned 1 RBI.

For the Bulldogs, Jessica McFadden went 2-3 including a strong double.

Coker will return to action tomorrow at 2:00 PM against Pfeiffer.  Barton plays tomorrow at 9:00 AM against Belmont Abbey.
