Catawba, N.C.- The Coker Lady Cobras Softball team spilt their two games on day two of the Catawba Softball Tournament. In game one, Coker defeated Glenville State 8-0 in six innings, followed by a 6-0 loss to #21 ranked Kutztown. After Saturday’s games, Coker is now 7-6 on the year.

In game one against Glenville, Sydney Greenwalt (Edwardsville, IL) earned the win going six innings, allowing seven hits, with no runs.

Haleigh Rogers (Ward, SC) was 2-for-3, while Ashton Williamson (Pelion, SC) was 2-for-2. Jessica Blackwell (Hartsville, SC), Whittney Wallett (Shermans Dale, PA) and Miranda Klees (Murrells Inlet, SC) each had one hit with two RBIs in the game.

Game number two versus #21 Kutztown, sae the Lady Cobras got no hit, while striking out 12 times. Shelly Catlett (Orangeburg, SC) took the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits with five walks and nine strike outs.

The Lady Cobras return to action on Sunday, as they play their final two games of the Catawba Tournament. Game one is against #2 ranked Lock Haven at 9:00 a.m., followed by game two versus Indiana University of PA at 11:00 a.m.
