Hartsville, SC- Coker College Head Softball Coach, David Hanna, announced the signing of Ashton Williamson to a National Letter of Intent to play softball. Williamson, a native of Pelion, SC, becomes the third member of the Lady Cobras to hail from Pelion; the other is catcher Eunice Nettles and recent graduate Marie Mascio.

Williamson was an All-State and All-Region selection in 2006, along with being named the Team MVP and Best Offensive Player. She batted .500 this season and stole an outstanding 43 bases.

According to Coach Hanna, “Ashton is the fastest player I have seen in a long time. I look forward to having her on the base paths for us next year.”
