FLORENCE - The Coker softball team won its lone game at the Patriot Invitational with a 4-3 win over Mars Hill.

Amy Shelley led the way by going 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI.

Amanda Shelton got the win, striking out eight in six innings. Somer Bigham pitched the seventh and earned the save.

The Cobras will play two games today at the Invitational, against Augusta State at 11 a.m. and Columbus State at 5 p.m.
