Hartsville, SC- Coker College Softball Players Amanda Shelton and Whitney Watts were named to the 2005 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete Team.

 

Shelton, a senior pitcher from Huntington Beach, CA, is a two-time recipient of the NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Award. Watts, a sophomore from Conway, SC, is a first time recipient of the award.

 

Both women had to earn at least a 3.5 grade point average in order to be eligible to receive the NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Award.

 

Coker opens the softball season on Friday, February 3, at the Claflin University Softball Tournament.
