Coker Men's Cross Country Competes in Bulldog Stampede

Wingate, N.C. - The Coker University men's cross country team placed 16th at the Bulldog Stampede Saturday (Sept. 21).

Junior Murishi Irankunda finished first for the Cobras with a time of 31:30.99 in men's 8k race. Senior Razzel Kiplaget followed behind with a time of 34:37.83, while freshman Breckyn Hunter was close behind with a time of 35:26.06. 

The Cobras finished with a team total of 481 placing them closely behind Uva-Wise (439) and Newberry (428). 

Coker will be back in action Friday (Sept. 27), when they travel to Queens (N.C.) to compete in the Queens City Invitational. The race will begin at 5:30 p.m.
