Cobras Cap Off Season With Sweep of Daemen

HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Coker College men's volleyball team closed the book on this season in style as they beat Daemen College 3-0 in the consolation game of the IVA Tournament on Saturday (Apr. 13).

The Cobras took the opening set handily as they used a 4-0 run late in the set to propel them take the set 25-18. After the Cobras picked up the second set 25-22, the Wildcats fought back in the third set as they attempted to avoid the sweep. The Wildcats trailed by just one point late in the match but Coker would prevail to win the set 25-23 and the match 3-0.

Joao Victor Santos put the finishing touches on a stellar career as he led all players with 11 kills. Max Kuntz was the next-leading attacker with six kills while Gabriel Castro and Absalon Williams both added five kills. Manuel Hernandez chipped in with three kills in the win. Brandon Ravelo dished out a game-high 26 assists and six digs. Castro, who also played in his final contest for the Navy and Gold, led the squad with three service aces.
