Cobras Drop Five-Set Thriller on Senior Night

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's volleyball team fell in their home finale on Tuesday (Apr. 2) night as they were beaten by Limestone 3-2 on senior night. The Cobras mounted an impressive comeback after trailing 2-1 to send it to a deciding fifth set. The jumped out to an early lead in the final set before Limestone made a comeback of their own to take the set and the match.

Senior Joao Victor Santos capped off his final game in the DeLoach Center with another impressive performance as he notched 15 kills and nine digs. Fellow senior Gabriel Castro had a solid night with 13 kills and eight digs on the night while Absalon Williams joined him in double figures with 10 kills. Max Kuntz added seven kills, Shaun Kampshoff had five, and Manuel Hernandez chipped in with three. Brandon Ravelo paced the team in assists with a game-high 46 and also added five service aces. Seth Miller also notched five digs at libero.

The Cobras will be back in action for their final regular season game on Tuesday (Apr. 9) when they travel to Barton College for a 7:00 PM match.
