Men's Volleyball Falls in Five Sets at St. Andrews

LAURINBURG, N.C. - The Coker College men's volleyball team fell on the road at St. Andrews 3-2 on Wednesday (Mar. 13) night.

The Cobras opened up with a win in the first set and took the third for a 2-1 lead. The fourth set was a battle as the Cobras trailed by as much as five before rallying back to eventually tie it up at 25 before the Knights took the 27-25. St. Andrews would take the fifth and final set 15-11 for the match win.

Manuel Hernandez and Joao Victor Santos combined to lead the Cobras with 13 kills each. Absalon Williams tied his season-high in kills with 11 in the loss and Gabriel Castro just missed double figures with nine kills. Max Kuntz notched five kills and Brandon Ravelo added one kill and a team-leading 41 assists. Seth Miller also recorded a game-high eight assists. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Mar. 15) when they travel to Limestone College for a 7:00 PM match.
