Bio
2015-16: Cabral played in 23 matches this season for the Navy and Gold, appearing in 80 sets. He compiled 239 kills and nearly a three kills per set average. He finished second in all NCAA DI/DII with a .60 service aces per set average and was named the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Player of the Month in February. He had 14 matches with 10 or more kills, including a season-high 19 kills against King (4/2).
2014-15: Cabral had a breakout season for the Cobras in 2014-15. He was named to the Off the Block All-Indenedent team, he was the Off the Block Independent Player of the Year and he was named the Off the Block/Springbak National Fan Choice Player of the Year for DI-II men's volleyball. During his outstanding season he played in 27 matches putting away 367 kills with 121 digs, 71 total blocks and 50 service aces. He finished the season second in all of Division I-II Men's Volleyball in aces per set with .53 and his 3.90 kills per set were in the top 10 nationally, as well. He set the record for most kills in a season with 367, most kills per set, averaging 3.90, most service aces in a season with 50, block assists at 56 on the season, most aces in a match with six and the single-match kill record with 24 kills in a match against Belmont Abbey.
2013-14: Cabral saw action in 28 macthes as a freshman for the Cobras. He finished third on the team with 215 kills, second with 28 service aces and added 99 digs and 36 total blocks in 96 sets of play.
High School: A four-year letterwinner in volleyball, Cabral is a three-time state champion, two-time district champion, two-time high school offensive player of the year, three-time high school player of the year and five-time state player of the year selection.
Personal: Son of Wladia Bessa and Helio Cabral Jr....he has a brother Marcelo.
