Coker takes 13th at the SAC Outdoor Championships

Hickory, NC: Coker took 13th place in the SAC Outdoor Championships. Donovan Jones had a great day for himself as he broke his record in the 400m.

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Donovan Jones: 3 points: 2 in the 200m and 1 in the 400m.
• Daniel Burton: 5 points: 5 in the High Jump.
• Xavier Ratliff: 2 points: 2 in the 110 Hurdles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• 100m Prelims
  • Kamari Hudson took 19th with a final time of 10.92.
  • Isaiah Reaves took 23rd with a final time of 10.96. (PR)
• 110m Hurdles
  
  • Xavier Ratliff took 8th in the prelims with a personal best of 15.24 to qualify for the Finals. Ratliff took 8th in the finals with a final time of 15.12 for another PR on the day.
• 200m
  
  • Donovan Jones led the Cobras in this event with a 7th-place finish in the prelims with a final time of 21.25s. In the Final, Jones took 7th place with a final time of 21.7s.
• 400m
  • Donovan Jones led the Cobras once again in this event after running a PR and a School record in the Prelims with a final time of 48.27s, beating his own school record. In the final, Jones took 8th place after running a time of 49.01s.
• High Jump
  • Daniel Burton was the lone Cobra in this event. He took 4th place with a final distance of 1.91m and put 5 points on the board for the Cobras.
• Triple Jump
  
  • Tyriq Gause took 13th with a final distance of 13.1m.
• Long Jump
  • Tyriq Gause took 15th with a final distance of 6.49m.
• 4x400m Relay
  • Jeffery Stiles, Phillip Davis, Kamari Hudson, and Donovan Jones came together to race in the 4x400m. The team took 12th place with a final time of 3:28.63.

• Donovan Jones has now broken a school record in 3 straight meets after beating his own school record this week in the 400m.
