
SEASON OPENER AT LIBERTY KICKOFF DAY 1
Lynchburg, VA- The Coker men's track & field team started their 24-25 indoor track season this week. The Cobras traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia to take on the Liberty Kickoff. Day 1 of the competition saw many of the field events compete.
The Cobras sent two men to compete in the Long Jump Finals at this meet.
The first man to compete in the Cobra Colors was Tyler Wanzer. The 6-2 Sophmore took on the long jump and finished with a final result of 17' 2" giving him a final placement of 26 in the competition.
Going against Tyler in this event was Tyriq Gause. The Freshman from Murrells Inlet, SC took on his first college meet and had an impressive long jump final score of 20' 9 1/2" which put the freshman finishing 14th of 27 men to compete in the long jump.
The men will continue this meet going into Friday where most of the other athletes will be competing.
