Cobras Compete In Phoenix Invitational

The Coker Men's Track & Field Team traveled to Elon University to compete in the Phoenix Invitational.

2000m Steeple

In the 2000m Steeple, Austin Bates took the track for the Cobras finishing with a time of 7:20.24.

1500m

In the 1500m, Josh Zeigler was able to finish with a time of 4:25.14 for the Cobras.

400m

In the 400m, Donovan Jones was the first Cobra to cross the line, finishing 10th overall, running a 50.71 on the afternoon. Yahir Perez-Lora rounded out the 400 field for the Cobras finishing with a time of 1:01.16.

100m

In the 100m, Jeffery Stiles was able to take bronze for the Cobras finishing with a time of 10.65. Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia, would finish one spot behind Stiles, as Pearsall-Garcia took 4th overall finishing with a time of 10.78. Braden Rasco was the third Cobra to finish with a time of 12.50. Rounding out the 100m for the Cobras was Tyler Wanzer finishing with a time of 13.38.

800m

In the 800m, Austin Bates was the first Cobra to cross the finish line, finishing with a time of 2:04.09. Philip Davis was the second Cobra to finish with a time of 2:04.26. Rounding out the 800m was Nicholas Hallis, who would finish with a time of 2:23.27.

200m

in the 200m, Jeffery Stiles earned his second top five performance of the afternoon, earning 4th place with a time of 21.66 in the 200m. The second Cobra to finish was Donovan Jones, who would cross the line with a time of 22.11. Rounding out the field for the Cobras was Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia who would cross the line with a time of 22.20.

In The Field

Javelin

In Javelin, William Frazier would earn the top spot for the Cobras, finishing 8th overall with a throw of 152' 6¼". Luke Baker would round out the field for the Cobras, with his best throw being marked at 136' 4½".

Shot Put

In Shot Put, Jaden Wright would have the best mark for the Cobras as his best mark would come at 30' 5½". Chayse Davis would round out the field for the Cobras throwing a distance of 28' 4¾".

Discus

In Discus, Jaden Wright would step into the cage for the Cobras with his best throw being marked at 65' 3¼".

Pole Vault

In Pole Vault, Luke Baker would earn the second bronze of the day for the Cobras, clearing a height of 12' 5½".
