Stiles Finishes Third As Cobras Compete at USC Indoor Open

The Coker Men's Track & Field team traveled to the University of South Carolina, one week before their SAC Indoor Championship meet, as they competed at the USC Indoor Open.

60m Prelims

At the 60m Prelims, Coker would see Jeffrey Stiles earn a qualifying spot in the finals, finishing 7th overall in the prelims with a time of 6.95. William Frazier would be the next Cobra to finish as Frazier would finish with a PR time of 8.07. Jaden Wright would round out the field for the Cobras, as he would run a PR of 8.76.

60m Finals

In the finals, the Cobras would see Jeffrey Stiles take third as he would set a PR on the season, running a 6.89 to secure the bronze medal for the 60m dash.

200m

In the 200m, Coker would send Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia to the track, Pearsall-Garcia would earn a top-ten finish as he would come in eighth running a PR time of 21.95.

400m

Donovan Jones would compete in the 400m for the Cobras, earning a top 15 finish, running a 50.27, which secured him 13th overall for the meet and setting a PR in the process.

800m

In the 800m, Austin Bates would be the first to cross the line for the Cobras, crossing with a PR time of 2:02.90. Phillip Davis would follow up behind Bates, crossing with a 2:04.57, also setting a PR in the 800m. Nicholas Hallis would round out the field for the Cobras, crossing with a time of 2:19.69.

1 Mile

In the 1 Mile, Coker would send out Josh Zeigler, who would cross the line at 4:50.70, setting a new PR.

In The Field

High Jump

At the High Jump, Coker would see Bareden Rasco finish 11th overall, jumping up to a height of 1.59m.

Shot Put

In the Shot Put, William Frazier would lead the way for the Cobras, throwing a PR of 9.84m. Luke Baker would follow behind Frazier throwing a distance of 9.32m. Jaden Wright would round out the Cobras in shot put, throwing a distance of 7.54m
