Men's Track & Field Competes in Day 1 of the Camel City Invitational

The Coker University Men's Track & Field team arrived at the Camel City Invitational with high hopes and determination. They were ready to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best athletes in the region.

The first event of the day was the Men's 60m Prelims, and Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia represented Coker University with an impressive performance. He finished in 3rd place with a time of 6.88, securing his spot in the next round.

As the day progressed, it was time for the Men's 60m finals. Pearsall-Garcia once again showed his speed and agility, crossing the finish line in 2nd place with a time of 6.81. This remarkable achievement also broke the school record previously held by Tony McElveen, who had a time of 6.84.

In the Men's 60m Qualifying round, Donovan Jones gave it his all but finished in 14th place with a time of 7.165. William Frazier, Luke Baker, and Jaden Wright also competed in this event, finishing in 64th, 66th, and 67th place respectively.

Moving on to the Men's 200m, Braeden Rasco and Luke Baker represented Coker University. Rasco finished in 66th place with a time of 26.77, while Baker followed closely behind in 68th place with a time of 27.13.

In the Men's 200m Seeded event, Jeffrey Stiles showcased his speed and determination. He finished in an impressive 4th place with a time of 22.49, earning him a well-deserved spot on the podium.

Lastly, the Men's 400m event saw Donovan Jones competing once again. Despite facing tough competition, Jones gave it his all and finished in 25th place with a time of 53.54.

Overall, the Coker University Men's Track & Field team had a successful day at the Camel City Invitational. They showcased their talent, broke records, and demonstrated their commitment to excellence. With their heads held high, they looked forward to day two of the competition, ready to continue their pursuit of victory.
