Men’s Tennis Drops Wednesday Competition vs Francis Marion
The Coker Cobras went on the road to the neighboring school as they looked to compete Wednesday evening.
Florence, SC. – Coker came into Wednesday looking to improve on the season. The team battled throughout each match but, fell short against Francis Marion dropping the match (6-1).
Francis Marion looked strong as they put together strong matches in the singles and doubles. Liam Day/Leonel Gonzalez (FMU) defeated two of Coker's best Thibaut Decalowe/Samuel Winter (6-4). Francis won the last two doubles (6-1) and (6-0).
Nolan Smith was the only singles to come out victorious winning his first set (6-2). Smith who dropped the second set bounced back to win the final set (6-4). The Cobras dropped the remainder of the singles.
