Cobras Rally for 4-3 Victory over Southern Wesleyan on Friday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University men's tennis team rallied in singles play for a 4-3 victory over Southern Wesleyan on Friday (Feb. 28).

Southern Wesleyan won two out of three doubles matches for one point, before Coker won four out of six singles matches to get the victory.

Carlos Pinedo and Walker Long picked up Coker's lone doubles victory, defeating Julio Lopes Polesi and Enzo Marcheschi 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Justus Lehmann posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Jonas Gramuck at No. 2 singles, before Hunter Horton defeated Marcheschi 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 singles. Pinedo defeated Joseph Olantunji 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, before Isaac MacMillan won 6-2, 6-0 over Fabian Segrada at No. 5 singles.

The Cobras (4-0) are back in action on Tuesday (Mar. 3) for Spring Break play in Hilton Head, S.C. The Cobras face Tiffin at 8:30 a.m.
