Men's Tennis Continues Winning Ways, Cruises Past Johnson C. Smith on Sunday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University men's tennis team continued its winning ways with a 6-1 win over Johnson C. Smith on Sunday (Feb. 23) in non-conference action.

Coker swept doubles play for one point, before winning five out of six singles matches for the victory.

Carlos Pineodo and Luis de Vuyst teamed up for a 6-3 win over Kohn Richardson and Antoine Laurent at No. 1, before Hunter Horton and Isaac MacMillan defeated Desire Johnson and Marlowe Anderson 6-4 at No. 2. Bradley Bomar and Walker Long posted a 6-1 win over Tayvon Lassiter and Cameron Hyman at No. 3 doubles to complete the sweep.

Tim Schroeder posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Johnson at No.1 singles, before Horton won over Richardson 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. MacMillan won over Laurent 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4, before Stephen Wills won 6-1, 6-0 over Lassiter. Walker Long finished things up with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6.

The Cobras (3-0) are back in action on Tuesday (Feb. 25) at Francis Marion. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
