Coker Men's Tennis Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne in SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. -- The Coker College men's tennis team ended their season with a loss to Lenoir-Rhyne in the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championship Quarterfinals on Monday (Apr. 15).

The Cobras opened the match by winning the doubles point with a 7-6 victory from Isaac Sturgess and Melwin Krall in #1 doubles, and another 7-6 victory from Justus Lehmann and Isaac MacMillan in #2 doubles.

Krall and Hunter Horton each took singles victories, but the Bears were able to win the match by taking the remaining four points.

The loss ends a successful season for the Cobras which saw them finish with a 5-5 record in South Atlantic Conference play, and qualify for the SAC Championships for the second consecutive season.
