Cobras Upset #37 Lenoir-Rhyne Behind Two Wins from Justus Lehmmann

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College men's tennis team upset the 37th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne Bears 4-3 on Wednesday (Mar. 27).

Justus Lehmann picked up victories in both #2 singles and #3 doubles to help the Cobras secure the win. Lehmann teamed with Isaac MacMillan for a 6-4 doubles win, and then downed Rhodri Atkinson 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 for the singles win, and ultimately the team win.

Melwin Krall won his #1 singles match 6-4, 6-2, and Hunter Horton won a tight #2 singles match 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Max Sturgess secured the victory with 6-0, 4-6, 5-7 victory in #4 singles.

Coker has now won three straight matches, and have improved their South Atlantic Conference record to 3-2 overall.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 30) when they travel to face Anderson at 11:00 a.m.
