Men's tennis earned multiple placewinners at the FMU Invitational
FLORENCE, S.C. - The Coker College men's tennis team wrapped up play at the FMU Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 23) with multiple placewinners. Hunter Horton earned third place and Melwin Krall recorded a fourth place finish in flight A singles, while Justus Lehmann finished sixth in flight B singles.
After dropping tight matches in the semifinals, Horton and Krall fell to the third place match. Both Cobras competed hard against one another and Horton came away with the tight 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 decision.
In flight B singles, Lehmann defeated Brandon Sweeney of Francis Marion 7-5, 0-0 (default) and advanced to the fifth place match where fell in a tight contest.
The Navy and Gold will be back in action on Sept. 27-28 when they take on the ITA Invitational. Play is set to begin at 8 AM each day.
