No. 46 Men’s Tennis Downed by Lincoln Memorial
The No. 46 Coker College men’s tennis team (8-5, 1-1 SAC) was downed 6-3 by the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters
HARROGATE, Tenn. – The No. 46 Coker College men's tennis team (8-5, 1-1 SAC) was downed 6-3 by the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters Saturday (Mar. 24) afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.
The Cobras began the match strong, taking two of three double matches. The duo of Mark Watt and Henrik Hellbe earned a tough 8-7 victory at No. 1 doubles, while the tandem of Hunter Horton and Justus Lehman battled for an 8-7 win at No. 2 doubles. Horton and Lehman improved to a team-best 10-3 with their doubles victory.
In singles action, Lehman worked for a 7-6, 7-5 victory at No. 6 singles, improving his record to 10-2 on the season.
The Cobras will be back in action tomorrow (Mar. 25) when they travel to Carson-Newman to take on the Eagles at 1 p.m.
