
Cobras Take Down Eagles 6-3
The Coker men's tennis team took down the Carson-Newman Eagles, 6-3 on on Friday (Apr. 3).
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras took down the visiting Eagles of Carson-Newman 6-3 in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action on Friday (Apr. 3).
Coker fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, but the Cobras took care of business during singles action, winning five of six matches to take home the 6-3 win.
Simon Bergbom and Felix Schweyer picked up the lone doubles win, 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. Then in singles play William Marrafao was victorious at No. 1, while Bergbom picked up the win at No. 2. Mark Watt earned the win at No. 3 singles and Schweyer won at No. 4. Dominic Allan picked up the sixth and final win at No. 6 singles.
The Cobras will return to the court on Monday (Apr. 6) when they travel to Mars Hill for a South Atlantic Conference match. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
