Coker Drops Heartbreaker to Lincoln Memorial 5-4
The Coker men's tennis team lost a tough SAC match to Lincoln Memorial on Monday (Mar. 16) 5-4.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras lost a heartbreaking 5-4 match to the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action on Monday (Mar. 16).
After falling behind 3-0 at the conclusion on doubles play, the Cobras bounced back to win four of six singles matches.
William Marrafao picked up a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory at No. 1 singles, with Simon Bergbom winning 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Mark Watt was victorious at No. 3 singles, winning 7-6 (7-4) and 6-3, and Felix Schweyer picked up the fourth win for the Cobras at No. 5 singles.
The Cobras will return to action Tuesday (Mar. 17) when they hit the road to Catawba College for a SAC match beginning at 2 p.m.
