
Sizeland Continues Win Streak in No. 36 Coker's Non-Conference Loss
Sophomore Tom Sizeland pushed his singles win streak to six matches with his win on Tuesday (Mar. 11) against GRU Augusta.
AUGUSTA, GA. – The No. 36 nationally ranked Coker men's tennis team fell 7-2 in a non-conference match against the No. 21 nationally ranked Jaguars of GRU Augusta on Tuesday (Mar. 11).
Picking up wins for the Navy and Yellow were Andre Staab at No. 1 singles and Tom Sizeland at No. 2 singles. The 7-6, 6-2 win moves Staab to 5-2 on the season. Sizeland's 6-2, 6-2 straight-set victory moves him to 6-1 on the year. The win also extends his current winning streak to six matches, with the sophomore only dropping one set during the streak.
Coker will continue its five-match road trip on Friday (Mar. 14) when they take on the Eagles of Carson-Newman College in a South Atlantic Conference showdown. First serve is slated for a 3 p.m. start.
