No. 35 Coker Unable to Take Match From Division I Liberty
The No. 35 Coker men's tennis team fell 6-3 to Division I Liberty University on Saturday (Mar. 8).
HARTSVILLE, S.C – The No. 35 nationally ranked Coker men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to the Flames of Liberty University on Saturday (Mar. 8) in a non-conference matchup.
Picking up wins for the Navy and Yellow were Tom Sizeland, James Corfield and Martin Moncayo. Sizeland captured a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles, while Corfield notched a three-set win at No. 4 singles 6-4, 1-6, 6-1. Moncayo cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles to round out the wins for Coker on the day.
The Cobras will be in action on Tuesday (Mar. 11) when they travel to GRU Augusta for a non-conference tilt with the Jaguars. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
