The Coker men's tennis team earned their fourth consecutive victory on Monday (March 4) with a 6-3 win over Barton.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College defeated Barton College, 6-3, Monday (March 4) in a Conference Carolinas men's tennis match. The Cobras are now 6-2 overall this season and remain undefeated, 3-0, in conference play.
Coker jumped to an early lead in doubles when James Corfield and Martin Moncayo earned an 8-0 win at No. 3. The Cobras would take a 2-1 advantage into singles after Tom Sizeland and William Marrafao were victorious at No.2, 8-6.
At the No. 1 spot Andre Staab earned a 6-2, 6-0 in singles. Coker would pick up three more singles victories at spots four, five, and six. Corfield and Moncayo both picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins, and Marrafao won 6-0, 6-3.
Next up for Coker is an away match against Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday (March 9) at 1 p.m.
