MEN'S SOCCER'S BENEDIX NAMED UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-AMERICAN
Kansas City, MO - Coker Men's Soccer has yet ANOTHER All-American! Announced in a press release put out this afternoon by the United Soccer Coaches Association, junior Frederic Benedix was named a Second-Team All-American by the organization.
Benedix, a native of Riesa, Germany, had a stellar season for the Cobras. He recorded 4 goals and a record-breaking 16 assists for 24 total points, good for second on the team in that category. The assist mark of 16 shattered the previous Coker mark by five goals and now sits him second all-time in assists in program history with 23 (the record is 27). He also was named a First-Team All-SAC honoree, D2CSC Academic All-Region and All-American, Second-Team D2CCA All-Southeast Region, and a First-Team USCA All-Southeast Region Honoree.
