MEN'S SOCCER'S RECORD-BREAKING SEASON ENDS IN SWEET SIXTEEN

Boca Raton, FL - The Cobras' historic season came to an end this afternoon, falling to the Knights of Lynn University by a strikingly close 1-0 scoreline.
A tight-knit first half saw many chances for both sides. Unfortunately, none of Coker's chances found the back of the net and both teams went into the locker rooms at halftime scoreless.
The lone goal of the contest came in the 53rd minute for the Knights, just under eight minutes back from halftime. From there on out, the game got very physical. The Cobras turned up the tempo and found themselves having many more offensive chances but the Lynn defense was ready for each opportunity.
The last ten minutes got especially heated, as two red cards were given (one to each side) within two minutes of each other. Coker failed to use the more open field to score toward the end of the contest and their season will end here.
This has been a season to remember for the Cobras. They received a record number of both first-team and regular All-Conference honors, recorded their best season since joining the South Atlantic Conference, and broke the undefeated streak record. Junior Frederic Benedix also broke the school record for most assists in a single season with 16 on the year.
Thank you, Cobra Nation, for being with us on this journey. Let's do it all over again next year!
