TRICKER NAMED SAC MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hartsville, SC - The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during week six of the 2024 season, with the Cobras' Matty Tricker being named Defensive Player of the Week.

Tricker, a senior from Ipswich, England, led No. 8 Coker to a 2-0 week with wins over Francis Marion and Lenoir-Rhyne. Tricker was crucial in both of those matches, leading a defensive line that allowed only one goal. On top of his defensive efforts, he added a first-half goal that ended up being the difference in the 3-1 win over LR on Saturday.

Tricker and the Cobras are 9-1 on the season and sit in second place in the conference standings along with being ranked the 8th best team in the country by the United States Soccer Coaches Association.
