Gustavo Palmieri Named South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coker University Men’s Soccer senior defender Gustavo Palmieri has been named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Oct. 4).

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coker University Men's Soccer senior defender Gustavo Palmieri has been named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Oct. 4).
Palmieri scored the game-winning goal against Catawba last Wednesday (Sept. 28) and also helped the Cobras to their fourth shutout of the season in the 1-0 victory.
This is Palmieri's first career Player of the Week selection. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native is the son of Paulo and Regina Palmieri, and is a business administration major.
The Cobras (3-1-5, 2-0-2 SAC) return to the pitch tomorrow at Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m. from Newberry, S.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
