FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE RELEASE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches released their 2021 All-Region honors today (Dec. 7). The Coker men's soccer had four named to Southeast All-Region Teams. 

Junior Jacques Fokam-Sandeu was named First Team All-Region. The forward from Paris, France scored 14 goals and six assists and led the conference in points with 34 while being tied in the conference this season for goals. He is currently 14th in the country in points. He was named First Team All-Conference and was named the SAC Tournament MVP, he was also named to D2CCA All-Region Second Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. The entrepreneurship major is the son of Jean Fokam-Sandeu. 

Senior Hugo Jonsson was named Second Team All-Region, the midfielder from Malmo, Sweden recorded three goals and an assist the season, including the game-winner against Wingate on Oct. 13. Jonsson was also named Second Team All-Conference this year. The psychology major is the son of Anders and Cecilia Jönsson.

Senior Gustavo Palmieri was named Third Team All-Region, the defender from Sao Paulo, Brazil recorded one goal and four assists this season, and netted the game-winner on Sept. 25 against Tusculum. Palmieri was also named Third Team All-Conference this year. The senior business administration major is the son of Paulo Palmieri and Regina Palmieri.

Freshman Bastiaan Jager was named to Third Team All-Region, The freshman defender from Wildebank, Groningen, Netherlands has totaled three goals and two assists for eight points. Jager netted the game-winner against No. 9 Limestone on Oct. 16. He was named SAC Astroturf Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 19. He was also named Third Team All-Conference and was named to the SAC All-Tournament Team.
