The Coker University men's soccer team ended their match in a draw with Shaw University today (Oct. 20) by a score of 1-1 in double overtime.

The Cobras would get on the board early in the first when Jacques Fokam-Sandeu would score off an assist from Lukas Berntsson from eight yards out in the 18th minute of play. 

Coker would take the 1-0 lead into halftime after outshooting the Bears 10-0 in the first half. 

In the second half, the Bears would find the equalizer in the 80th minute of play. 

Neither team would score in the rest of the regulation or in the 20 minutes of two overtime periods. Coker would outshoot Shaw 9-2 in overtime and 28-11 in the match.

Jasper Rump (10-3-1) picked up three saves in the draw. 

Coker is back in action this Saturday (Oct. 23) when they travel to Carson-Newman. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. with live coverage at www.cokercobras.com.
