No. 4 Men’s Soccer Takes Down Regionally-Ranked Mount Olive

Mount Olive, N.C. - The No. 4 Coker University men's soccer team (6-0-0, 1-0 SAC) downed the University of Mount Olive 2-1 on Tuesday (Sept. 21).

The Cobras got things started quickly, with Colin Serredszum netting his first of the year in the 2nd minute. Jonathan Partlow would add to the Coker lead when he would net his first career goal in the 44th minute of the first half on a pass from Bastiaan Jager to bring the first half score to 2-0.

The Trojans would get one back in the 72nd minute, with Glen Hernandez finding the back of the net on a penalty kick. Coker would go on to outshoot Mount Olive in the match 17-13.

Jasper Rump (6-0-0) picked up the win between the pipes, picking four saves including several on the doorstep.

The Cobras return to action Saturday (Sept. 25) to host Tusculum in conference action. Kick-off is set for 2:30 p.m. from the Coker Athletic Field, with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
