The Cobras (5-0-0) continue to climb the national poll after a 4-3 thrilling victory over Francis Marion last week, and a 1-0 victory over Lincoln Memorial over the weekend.
The Cobras also remain No.1 in the Southeast region in this week's poll.
This is the highest ranking that the Cobras have received in program history. This marks the fourth time they have been nationally ranked in the last three seasons, as they appeared in the United Soccer Coaches Division II national rankings during the 2019-20 season.
The Cobras are off to their best start since the 2009 season.
"I am very proud of these guys and what they have done so far," said head coach Michael Antoniewicz. "We are taking it one game at a time, with the focus of the next game is the biggest one of the season. We have a long way to go but it is a very exciting time to be a part of this great program."
The Cobras are back on the pitch tonight in non-conference action against the University of Mount Olive. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. from Mount Olive, N.C. with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
