
Jasper Rump Named South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Defensive Player of the Week
Rock Hill, S.C. - Coker University freshman goalkeeper Jasper Rump has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Sept. 14).
Rock Hill, S.C. - Coker University freshman goalkeeper Jasper Rump has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Sept. 14).
Rump, a freshman from Buxtehude, Germany, helped the No. 15 Cobras remain undefeated this season. He finished the week with nine saves and did not allow a single goal all week, as the Cobras picked up wins over Belmont Abbey (1-0, Sept. 8) and Erskine (4-0, Sept. 11).
This is Rump's first career Player of the Week honor. The Buxtehude, Germany native is the son of Michael and Susan Rump, and is a sports management major.
The Cobras return to action, seeking their fourth consecutive victory on Wednesday (Sept. 15) when they travel to Francis Marion University in a non-conference match. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
