Cobras Drop Road Conference Tilt Against Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, TN - The Coker College men's soccer team fell in their South Atlantic Conference opener on the road at Carson-Newman 4-1 on Saturday (Sept. 22).

Jacob Simonis had a lively game up front for the Cobras by firing off nine shots and six shots on goal, one of which found the back of the net in the 61st minute. Cesar Lopez was credited with the assists on the goal by Simonis.

Joby Griggs, Christian Provenzano, Ricardo Ricci, and Joao Silva each recorded a shot in the match. In goal, Zach Watson picked up eight saves.

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday (Sept. 25) as they go on the road to take on Shaw at 6:30 p.m.
