HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College Head Men's Soccer Coach Chis Williams announced the addition of Nicholas Alston, Jonathan Partlow, Garrett Walsworth, Tommy Koty, Jonathan Bargesser, Alex Barnes, Dalton Bailey, Kurt Suhr, Travis Disher, Cameron McCracken, Gustavo Maldonado, and Kasper Wallstroem to the 2018-19 roster. 

Nicholas Alston is from Kingston, N.C. where he attends Bethel Christian Academy. During his time at Bethel Christian Academy he was Second Team All-Conference, First Team All-Conference, and also won the Coach's Award. Along with Soccer, he is a member of both the basketball and shooting teams. Nicholas is an honor roll student, winning the Woodmen History Award twice. He is also a member of the Drama Club and Student Leadership Institute. Nicholas plans to major in Exercise Science. 

Nicholas is the son of George and Ellen Alston. 

Jonathan Partlow is from Odessa, Fla. where he attends Steinbrenner High School. Partlow is a member of the men's soccer team for the Warriors and is a four-year letterman on the varsity squad.  He was named to the Western Conference 5A First Team and led the Warriors in assists his junior and senior seasons. In addition to playing soccer, Partlow is a member of the National Honors Society. 

He is the son of Eric and Dawn Partlow and plans to major in business at Coker. 

Garrett Walsworth is from Canon City, Colo. He attends Canon City High School where he plays soccer and is a member of the wrestling team. Garrett received All-Conference Honorable Mention honors during his sophomore and junior years and made All-Conference First Team this year. He is an honor roll student and is a member of the Caving Club. Garrett plans to major in Business. 

Garrett is the son of Timothy and Tracy Walsworth. 

Thomas Koty is from Sumter, S.C. where he attends Sumter High School.  Thomas is an All-Region selection at Sumter High. He is an IB certificate candidate and a member of the Student Government Association. Thomas plans to major in Criminology. 

He is the son of Dow and Suzane Koty. 

Jonathan Bargesser is from Hanahan, S.C. where he attends Hanahan High School where he is a member and captain of his soccer team. He is an honor roll student and a member of the Auto Club. 

Jonathan is the son of Jodie Legg, Brian Legg, Johnny Bargesser, and Karen Bargesser. 

Alex Barnes is from Rock Hill, S.C. where he attends South Pointe High School. Alex was All-Region during his sophomore and junior seasons. He also received the Coach's Award his sophomore year and was the team MVP award during his junior season. Alex is an honor roll student and plans to major in Exercise Science. 

Alex is the son of Marcus and Renne Barnes. 

Dalton Bailey is from Conway, S.C. where he attends Conway High School. Dalton is the team captain of the soccer team and has started for Conway High for four years. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Hickory Grove Baptist Church Youth Choir. He is an honor roll student and plans to major in Physical Education. 

Dalton is the son of Tony and Dana Bailey. 

Kurt Suhr is from Lilburn, GA where he attends Parkview High School. Along with soccer, Kurt is also a member of the varsity swim team. In 2016 his team won the Georgia 6A Men's State Soccer Championship. Kurt is a member of Young Life and Paint/Spirit Crew. He plans to major in Athletic Training. 

Kurt is the son of John Suhr and Karolin Gidley. 

Travis Disher is from Sumter, S.C. where he attends Sumter High School. He has won the Coach's Award and is an honor roll student. Travis is a member of his church youth group and a volunteer referee. He plans to major in either Sports Management or Exercise Science. 

Travis is the son of Joe Disher, Joy Truesdale, Stephanie Disher, and John Truesdale. 

Cameron McCracken is from Greer, S.C. where he attends Greer Middle College Charter High School. In 2016 he earned All-Region honors and MVP. He was a member of the Beta Club for the 2016-2017 school year and plans to major in Physical Therapy. 

Cameron is the son of Randy and Barbara McCracken. 

Gustavo Maldonado is from Hilton Head, S.C. where he attends Hilton Head Island High School. His team has been the region champions from 2015 through 2017. Gustavo is an honor roll student and plans to major in Biology. 

Gustavo is the son of Luis Maldonado and Lucila Hernandez. 

Kasper Wallstroem is from Skivarp, Sweden where he attends Ekbackeskolan. Kasper plans to major in Business. 

Kasper is the son of Magnus and Jeanette Wallstroem. 

"We are delighted with the recruiting class for the 2018 season," said Williams. We have brought in some excellent talent, with a mixture of youth and experience. We are really excited for the season to start and can't wait to work with our new student-athletes." 

Williams added, "Not only are the players we brought in good soccer players, but they are good people who really buy into Coker. That for us is crucial to our success as a program."
