Cobras Fall in Hard-Fought Conference Match

The Coker College men’s soccer team fell to the visiting Wingate University Bulldogs 1-0 Wednesday (Oct. 4) evening in South Atlantic Conference play.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team fell to the visiting Wingate University Bulldogs 1-0 Wednesday (Oct. 4) evening in South Atlantic Conference play. 

After a scoreless first half, Wingate tallied a score in the 67th minute of play and held on for the 1-0 victory. 

Maddox Boshart and Jacob Simonis both tallied one shot each. In goal, Justin Walker collected three saves. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Sunday (Oct. 8) when they travel to Tusculum to take on the Pioneers at 4:30 p.m.
