Cobras Tussle With Trojans to Open Conference Play

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team will square off against the visiting Anderson University Trojans on Wednesday (Sept. 14) at 7 p.m. in Coker's South Atlantic Conference opener. Live stats and video will be found at www.cokercobras.com. 

The Navy and Gold will look to improve upon its 1-1 record at the friendly confines of the Coker College Athletic Field.

Aladdin Elfares has a team-high two goals so far this season. The sophomore has scored a goal in back-to-back matches. Alvaro Urena and Grant Sicard have each chipped in one goal this season as well.  

Goalkeeper Michael Ritterbeck has 21 saves in 290 minutes between the pipes.

The Trojans come into the matchup with a 3-0 overall record. They are led by the two goals and one assist of Brad Du Plooy.

Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. at the Coker College Athletic Field. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
