Fellenz Leads Coker to 2-1 Triumph at Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – A goal by Ian Fellenz in the 71st minute of action pushed the Coker Cobras past the Carson-Newman Eagles, 2-1, on Saturday (Oct. 18) in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action.

The Cobras were first to strike thanks to a goal by Noah Gulley in the 29th minute. Coker held the 1-0 advantage into the second half.

The Eagles jumped on the board in the 64th minute of play, tying the game at one goal apiece. However, the Cobras did not let the score stay tied for long as Fellenz put away the game-winner just seven minutes later.

Holding down the Coker defense was goalkeeper Kyndle Cobb with a career high nine saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Cobras will return to action on Wednesday (Oct. 22) for league match at Newberry. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
