Cobras and Patriots Play to 0-0 Draw

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras and the Francis Marion Patriots played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday (Sept. 18) in collegiate men's soccer action. With the tie the Cobras move to 1-1-2 on the year.

It was a hard fought, evenly matched battle from start to finish. The Patriots held a slight advantage on shots, 18-10, but the Cobras put seven shots on frame, compared to just six for Francis Marion.

Both goalkeepers played exceptionally well, pitching shut outs for both teams. Coker's Kyndle Cobb turned away six Patriot chances, while FMU's Nick Stover made seven saves.

The Cobras will return to the pitch on Saturday (Sept. 21) for a South Atlantic Conference match at Anderson University. Kick-off is slated for 3:30 p.m.
